Don't you get tired of hearing the same music 15 times in one session? Yeah so did I. I decided I wanted to pick music I didn't hear at meets. From movies, video games, anime, current music, and anything else you can think of. I search everywhere for the sounds I have not heard.

As a choreographer, I was realizing that the cuts of music my gymnast were buying just didn't fit my vision. So when I cut music, I think about what I hear in the music that fits the skills and direction in creativity I want to bring to the table. I want the crowd to remember what they heard and be entertained. Most importantly, that it connects to the athlete.

Click the picture to see and hear an example. Raena Worley woke up the crowd at Nastia Cup with this performance. I was super proud to hear the response to it. She is now at Kentucky where they loved the music and routine so much, they told her to keep it. This is also true for my gymnast Caroline Warren and her senior routine, that she competed with all 4 years at Brown.     I have also done all of Raena's collegiate floor music. For 2022 we had to put in a lot of work to get to this piece. So to hear Kathy Johnson say how much she was a fan of it, really put a smile on my face that I could help Raena in such a way! Examples down below.
